As you are all aware, Governor Cooper has determined that public schools are unable to return this year due to the ongoing repercussions of COVID-19. In order to wrap up academic work, we will be issuing one last 2-week pack of work for students on May 4 (11 AM – 1 PM). Any physical work should be turned in to the school on May 18 (11 AM – 1 PM). Any outstanding work from previous weeks should be turned in at this time for grading. High School students’ online courses will be modified to ensure students can complete outstanding coursework by May 20 (Edgenuity based courses). All other HS work should be turned in by May 18. We will use the week of May 18 to produce final report cards and compile awards packets for students. More information regarding student awards and recognition will be announced as it becomes available.
The Academy of Coastal Carolina , in an effort to provide as much instructional time as possible, will use Microsoft Teams to stay connected to their teachers and classmates. Each student in grades 1-12 has been given a login to the Microsoft Office Suite. While still sending home written assignments, teachers will also be able to use this application to have audio chats with their students as well as provide online content, quizzes, and allow for greater interaction between our Academy family.
